Acorn International has become well known for helping parties with conflicting views find common ground and build foundations for durable, just agreements.  Our social and environmental scientists have become trusted by industry and communities/NGOs for our neutral, objective and deeply qualified approach to “helping good companies be good neighbors”.

Our founder Dean Slocum recently completed the 40-hour qualified mediator training required under Texas Alternative Dispute Resolution Act and is serving as a court-appointed mediator.

This qualification extends our conflict resolution support from assessment, advice and facilitation into court- and lender-recognized mediation for clients and those on whose support they depend for sustainable operations.
