Biography

For the last 15 years, Ms. Dean has bridged the worlds of economic development and corporate social responsibility, applying the community development and livelihood promotion skills earned in over 20 years of NGO practice in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to the field of sustainable development, communities, and social performance within the corporate sector, specifically within the extractive industry.  These efforts have often been achieved in the charged context of conflicting community and stakeholder visions regarding environmental protection, natural resource management, and economic and social development.
