Strategic Environmental and Social Assessments for the InterAmerican Development Bank

The InterAmerican Bank’s new Environmental and Social Performance Framework (ESPF) will become applicable in Q4 2021, providing borrowers direction on sustainability practices in 10 standards, including Gender Equity and Public Consultation. IDB has engaged Acorn International to develop a series of sector-specific Strategic Environmental and Social Assessments to facilitate the Bank’s and its borrowers’ implementation of the new standards.
