Strategic Community Planning for an Onshore Shale Gas Exploration and Production Project, Fayetteville Shale Play (U.S.)
Acorn International is leading a complex community analysis and engagement program for an onshore gas exploration and production company in Arkansas.
Acorn International and a polling research partner are responsible for assisting the company in designing and planning stakeholder engagement and community development programs that are in line with community needs and company capacity, and build strong company-community relationships.
This initiative has included baseline socio-economic research, community stakeholder surveys and a social impact assessment.
Acorn International used this research and analysis, as well as information collected during internal meetings and workshops, to develop project-wide stakeholder engagement and community development management plans.
The project began with a stakeholder identification and analysis workshop, involved close collaboration with the company’s team management, and culminated in a workshop evaluating community investment opportunities.
