Social Baseline Study, Stakeholder Workshop/Strategy and Community Development Planning for an Offshore Oil and Gas Exploration Program, Philippines

Acorn International provided a study of baseline socio-economic conditions for an oil and gas exploration program offshore Palawan Island in the Philippines.

The study accompanied stakeholder engagement planning, which involved designing and initiating a stakeholder engagement management plan with local communities.

Some of the key issues faced were addressing competing concerns of fishermen, pearl farm owners, municipal / provincial / national authorities and indigenous people living along the coast.

Our team developed a Social Baseline Study, an Environmental and Social Management Plan, a Regulatory Compliance and Commitments Register, and a Stakeholder Engagement Management Plan to help guide the project planning, design and execution/monitoring.
