QatarEnergy Biodiversity Strategy

Acorn International partnered with a major oil and gas company to develop a corporate Biodiversity Strategy for QatarEnergy.

This multi-year project included a review of international regulatory frameworks and national commitments by GCC countries, a benchmarking of corporate biodiversity performance among international extractive companies, a risk assessment workshop to identify key biodiversity sensitivities and risks, and the development of a corporate Strategy. They also developed an Implementation Framework document and corporate training materials to support the implementation of the Strategy and the building of internal capacity necessary for implementation.
