CCUS Project Roadmap

Acorn International developed a regulatory permitting roadmap for Class VI injection wells across the US. The purpose of this roadmap is to communicate and plan for projects requiring Class VI injection wells.

The roadmap highlights potential changes to the CCS project permitting and grant application/external finance approval timelines based on several scenarios. This project was done in two phases, Phase One consisted of different types of facilities in Texas including a hydrogen plant and a carbon storage facility. Phase Two looked deeper into offshore regulations, both state and federal state waters, as well as other states in the US. The goal of this project was to create an evergreen tool for the client to facilitate decision-making during the planning and scheduling phase throughout the project.
