Acorn International Selected To Lead Environmental And Social Impact Studies For Exxonmobil Affiliate Eepgl’s Fifth Project In Guyana

Social and environmental risk consultancy engaged by many of the world’s largest energy companies brings expertise and solutions to the Uaru Project

August 9, 2022 – (Boston, MA; Houston, TX; Georgetown, Guyana) Acorn International, a worldwide environmental and risk management consultancy with offices in Boston and Houston, today announced it was selected, to perform an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and lead the public consultation program for the Uaru Project, the fifth offshore development project in Guyana of Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Limited (EEPGL), an affiliate of ExxonMobil.

The proposed project, located in the eastern portion of the Stabroek Block, is approximately 200 kilometers (125 miles) from Georgetown. Production is planned to begin at the end of 2026- 2027.
